If you wish any benefits payable on your death to be paid to your spouse, registered civil partner or nominated non legal partner you do not need to take any action as they are automatically covered by the scheme’s survivor benefits.
If however, you would like to nominate a specific person or persons to receive any benefits payable on your death, you must complete a nomination form. Once you make the nomination, you should notify SPPA of any changes to ensure that they reflect your wishes. You should also ensure that those you have nominated are aware of the terms of the nomination.
