When will I receive my pension?
Any new pension payment will be made on the last day of the month. All pension payments are made in arrears. If your pension does not start at the beginning of the month, your first monthly pension will only be for part of that month.
If the last day of the month occurs at a weekend your payment will be credited on the preceding Friday. In the event of your normal payment date falling on a bank holiday, the payment will be made on the previous banking day.
It is normal practice that when your pension commences, it will be taxed at an emergency rate until HMRC are in a position to provide us with the correct tax code applicable. Any queries regarding this should be directed to HMRC Telephone 0300 200 3300.
Pension Advice Notes are not issued as a matter of course. You will only receive one when there is a significant change in your pension amount.
