What do I pay?
As a member of the Teachers Pension Scheme, your contributions are dependant on your salary bracket. See the table below for details.
Full time equivalent pensionable pay

|£26,260 to £35,349||8.7%|
|£35,350 to £41,914||9.7%|
|£41,915 to £55,549||10.4%|
|£55,550 to £75,749||11.5%|
|£75,750 and above||11.9%|
Your employer pays 14.9 % (as at 1st April 2009). You will receive income tax relief on your contributions. The Government Actuary reviews these rates at regular intervals.
Your employer will deduct contributions from your monthly salary and will pay all contributions direct to the SPPA each month. It is important that you make sure that the correct amounts have been deducted. If you think an error has been made, contact your employer immediately.
