A new way for NHS and Teachers Employers to submit weekly, monthly and annual data returns.

EDM, Employer Data Management online portal will be launched in Spring 2016 and is a welcome addition to existing SPPA facilities, offering great benefits to employers including:

  • Fast, efficient, secure data submission
  • Inbuilt data validation features
  • Secure messaging service

We are confident that EDM will improve the data submission experience and provide employers with a secure means of communicating with the SPPA data teams.

We have already released NHS Circular 01/2016 and Teachers Circular 01/2016 outlining EDM and what you need to do in preparation for the launch. In the circular we asked all employers to submit principal user contact details and to date we have had a good response.   • full name
  • email address
  • telephone number
  • employer name
  • employer code

When we launch you will receive a registration token to register with EDM and start submitting your monthly and annual data returns immediately. EDM is presented in conjunction with the Employer Pensions Contribution Online service so existing users may not need to register again.

Launch will be in three tranches with Teachers employers launching first then NHS GP practices and Direction Bodies. System development and testing is progressing well and we aim to ensure that all employers are registered in time to submit annual return data for 2015/16.
