Changes to the NHS (Scotland) Pension Scheme from April 2015

As you may be aware, new pension arrangements are to be introduced for public sector pension schemes from April 2015.

The main features of the new NHS Pension Scheme design in Scotland from 2015 have been set out within the Framework Document.

We are currently working in partnership to produce information for both members and employers about the changes to the scheme. A number of frequently asked questions (FAQs) have been produced to aid understanding of these changes and are available below.

Staff Leaflet: information on the 1995/2008 scheme and the 2015 scheme and transitional issues.
Scheme Comparison Table: illustrates the main differences between the 1995/2008 scheme and the 2015 scheme and transitional issues.

We will continue to update these pages between now and 1st April 2015.
